Estimating the Failure Intensities of Multi-component System with Multi - State Components

چکیده
Under consideration of this paper are unrecoverable multi-state systems with independent multi state components. It is assumed that each component can fail by one level down in time, and that transitions are homogenous Markov transitions. In order to calculate the reliability of such a system, we need to estimate the one level transition intensities of each component. Here we give an estimators for this parameters, under assumption that all one level transition of the components of the system are known.

In this paper, we study different methods of solving joint redundancy-availability optimization for series-parallel systems with multi-state components. We analyzed various effective factors on system availability in order to determine the optimum number and version of components in each sub-system and consider the effects of improving failure rates of each component in each sub-system and impr...
متن کاملA New Continuous Multi-State Reliability Model with Time Dependent Component Performance Rate
A CSS1†is a system with the continues-state components. When a component has the ability to obtain all the situations from completely working to completely failed, it named continues-state component. In the real world, performance rate of elements are continuous and decrease by time. Continuity of components causes infinite working states and grows up the system states. In this paper we propose...

Whereas RAP belongs to Np-Hard problems, we used Genetic algorithm (GA) and simulated annealing (SA) and for solving the presented problem and calculating system reliability universal generating function ...
متن کاملRedundancy Allocation Problem of a System with Three-state Components: A Genetic Algorithm (RESEARCH NOTE)
The redundancy allocation is one of the most important and useful problems in system optimization, especially in electrical and mechanical systems. The object of this problem is to maximize system reliability or availability within a minimum operation cost. Many works have been proposed in this area so far to draw the problem near to real-world situations. While in classic models the system com...
